Natural Track System Horse Boarding
Boarding at Elemental Acres is a uniquely horse centered experience. Here we have our horses' best interests in mind.
What is a Track System?
A track system imitates the natural environment for the horse by encouraging movement, providing 24/7 access to friends, hay, water, mineral, salt and shelter. Here, our tracks run in a big loop around pastures, with open loafing areas. A track system gives freedom back to laminitic horses by allowing them to live in a herd without access to grass. Track systems also allow us to micro manage our grazing so that the grass available to the horses that can have it is healthy, with strong root systems.
What benefits does a Track System offer?
Enriched horses = fewer, to no vices
Much more movement than a pasture or dry lot = higher fitness level & healthier hooves
Micro managed grazing
24/7 access to hay in slow feed hay nets = reduced ulcer risk
What Facilities do we have?
